Product Manager
(Patient Experience)

Kaliber AI is hiring an experienced and talented Product Manager to join our team and work on the next generation of AI-based surgical patient communication solutions designed to improve the lives of both patients and surgeons. 
 

In this role, you will be responsible for building products from inception to launch. You will own the product roadmap and feature sets, and be responsible for conducting market research and collecting feedback from customers and prospects, prioritizing features, fleshing out requirements and specifications, aligning production timelines, providing input into pricing decisions, and managing product launch strategies. This is a highly collaborative position that will require you to work with our AI / ML and SW development teams, Kaliber’s advisory board made up of world-renowned surgeons, customers (including surgeons, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospitals), users, and medical device companies.
 
This role demands a balance of curiosity and discipline, and passion and practicality. The ideal candidate will possess both an appreciation for the potential of AI to change the world, as well as the skill to make revolution seem like evolution.

Responsibilities
 

  • Own the entire product life cycle from planning to execution

  • Understand the operating environment of our user base, determine the needs (stated and unstated) of surgeons and ASC / hospital administrators

  • Own product roadmap and feature sets, prioritize features, and flesh out requirements and specifications

  • Work with AI / ML and SW development teams to implement features, align production timelines, and manage product launch strategies

  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements and evaluating new product ideas in the context of the company’s strategic direction, technology, and market needs

  • Provide planning input to management by preparing short-term and long-term product roadmaps and sales forecasts

  • Assess the competitive landscape 

  • Bring new products to market, prepare return-on-investment analyses, establish timelines with the AI and engineering teams

  • Provide input to the marketing and creative teams and help align customer/user messaging 

  • Work closely with the sales/marketing teams to develop product sales strategies

  • Maintain contact with customers and evaluate reactions to our sales/marketing campaigns 

  • Contribute to budget planning and sales forecasting

  • Maintain medical/surgical and technical knowledge as required, representing the company at forums and conferences
     

Qualifications
 

  • Technical degree

  • 3+ years of product management experience

  • 2+ years of software product management experience in healthcare provider/patient space and patient remote monitoring

  • Excellent communication skills

 

Location
 

This position is open at either our St. Louis, MO or San Francisco, CA office. Some of our positions require employees to be on-site in the office to create a more collaborative and efficient work environment. Employees may have to visit customer sites including medical facilities. Depending on the site's health and safety guidelines, you may be required to have medical screenings or vaccinations to meet site requirements, which may include Covid-19 vaccination and/or testing.
