Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Kaliber AI is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to work on the next generation of AI algorithms and solutions for its surgical guidance systems. We are looking for an experienced and talented individual to join our growing team and help us push the boundaries of medical AI applications.

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will work with Kaliber's product managers, AI scientists, and developers to build our products and support their launch. This role requires someone who is passionate about the power and possibilities of ML, but also has a solid understanding of practical, real-world limitations.

Our products are the result of a close collaboration with the world-renowned surgeons who make up our surgeon advisory board, and the successful candidate will play a key role in helping shape the future of surgery and improving the lives of patients and surgeons, alike. 

Responsibilities
 

  • Responsible for research, development, and deployment of real-world medical AI solutions

  • Participate in planning, designing, and implementing aspects of our ML pipeline. 

  • Research and implement new and existing ML algorithms and tools

  • Lead model training, optimization, and quality control 

  • Interact with our labeling team to ensure data and training quality 

  • Work with our software engineers to deploy models to production applications

  • Collaborate efficiently across multiple time zones 

Qualifications
 

  • Fluent in Python, TEnsorFlow, Keras, PyTorch

  • Experience with real-time data processing (video, audio, and other signals)

  • Experience in computer vision and video analytics algorithms, such as image segmentation, 3D reconstruction, object and motion detection, tracking and classification

  • Experience in machine learning algorithms for vision problems, including deep learning

  • Bonus points for experience with:

  • TensorRT​

  • Medical applications

  • 3D domain development

  • B.S., M.S. with 5+ years of relevant experience or PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Excellent communication skills
