Technical Product Manager - AI Applications
Kaliber AI is seeking an experienced and talented Technical Product Manager for Healthcare AI Applications to join our team and work on the next generation of AI-based surgical solutions designed to improve the lives of both patients and surgeons.
In this position, you will lead the design of AI-based application architectures, focusing on scalable, innovative solutions and staying informed on emerging AI trends including LLM. This is a highly collaborative position that will require you to work with our medical, data, AI / ML research, engineering, design, marketing, and support teams to align on project goals and timelines. Responsibilities include managing the product roadmap, and prioritizing features based on business impact and customer feedback. The role also encompasses overseeing quality assurance and performance monitoring to ensure high standards of usability and reliability in AI applications.
This role demands a balance of curiosity and discipline, and passion and practicality. The ideal candidate will possess both an appreciation for the potential of AI to change the world, as well as the skill to make revolution seem like evolution.
Responsibilities

Own the AI Applications product life cycle from planning to execution.

Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the short-term and long-term development plans for the AI Applications. Prioritize features and enhancements based on business impact, customer feedback, and technological advancements.

Spearhead the technical architecture design for AI Applications. This involves defining the overall system architecture, selecting appropriate technologies and frameworks, and ensuring that the architecture aligns with both current and future product requirements. This role requires staying ahead of technology trends in AI including the adoption of LLM to build scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions.

Provide technical leadership in the application of AI including the adoption of LLM. This involves staying abreast of the latest developments in the field, understanding the technical capabilities and limitations of existing and emerging technologies, and guiding the engineering teams in the implementation of these technologies.

Work closely with internal and external engineering teams, as well as other stakeholders such as data, AI / ML, design, marketing, sales, and customer support. Ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Facilitate communication and collaboration across these teams.

Oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring that the AI Applications meet high standards of performance, usability, and reliability. Monitor the performance of the applications post-launch to gather insights and make informed decisions for future improvements.

Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements and evaluating new product ideas in the context of the company’s strategic direction, technology, and market needs.

Provide planning input to management by preparing short-term and long-term product roadmaps.

Provide input to the marketing and creative teams and help align customer/user messaging.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

7 years of technical product management experience including the development and implementation of AI applications in the healthcare or medical space

Proven expertise in healthcare AI or medical AI / SaMD

Knowledge of LLM highly desirable

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, finding creative solutions

Location
This position is remote with a strong preference for candidates located in the New Jersey/ Pennsylvania area in order to facilitate regular in-person meetings with key teammates. Employees may have to visit customer sites including medical facilities. Depending on the site's health and safety guidelines, you may be required to have medical screenings or vaccinations to meet site requirements, which may include Covid-19 vaccination and/or testing.
