Technical Product Manager - Edge Solutions
Kaliber AI is seeking an experienced and talented Technical Product Manager for Healthcare AI Applications to join our team and work on the next generation of AI-based surgical solutions designed to improve the lives of both patients and surgeons.
In this position, you will lead the design of AI-based application architectures, focusing on scalable, innovative solutions and staying informed on emerging AI trends including LLM. This is a highly collaborative position that will require you to work with our medical, data, AI / ML research, engineering, design, marketing, and support teams to align on project goals and timelines. Responsibilities include managing the product roadmap, and prioritizing features based on business impact and customer feedback. The role also encompasses overseeing quality assurance and performance monitoring to ensure high standards of usability and reliability in AI applications.
This role demands a balance of curiosity and discipline, and passion and practicality. The ideal candidate will possess both an appreciation for the potential of AI to change the world, as well as the skill to make revolution seem like evolution.
Responsibilities

Own the Edge Solutions product life cycle from planning to execution.

Own Edge Solutions product roadmap and feature sets, prioritize features, and flesh out requirements and specifications, prioritizing HIPAA compliance and data security at every stage.

Lead software architecture for Edge Solutions and cloud integration, ensuring seamless integration with cloud infrastructure.

Work collaboratively with AI researchers and AI engineers to integrate Kaliber’s AI algorithms into edge devices, and optimize their performance for both edge and cloud environments.

Collaborate with the ML engineering teams and manage the readiness and deployment of the models at the edge.

Facilitate collaboration between teams working on edge computing, AI algorithms, and cloud infrastructure. Manage communication across departments to align project goals, share insights, and foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.

Oversee rigorous testing and quality assurance processes with a special focus on security and HIPAA compliance. Implement regular security audits and risk assessments for both edge and cloud components of the healthcare application, ensuring that all aspects of the product adhere to the highest standards of data privacy and security.

Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements and evaluating new product ideas in the context of the company’s strategic direction, technology, and market needs.

Provide planning input to management by preparing short-term and long-term Edge Solutions product roadmaps.

Provide input to the marketing and creative teams and help align customer/user messaging.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

7 years of technical product management experience including the development and implementation of edge solutions in the healthcare or medical space

Proven expertise in healthcare AI or medical AI / SaMD

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, finding creative solutions.

Location
This position is open at either our Santa Clara or San Francisco, CA offices. The position requires the employee to be on-site in the office to create a more collaborative and efficient work environment. Employees may have to visit customer sites including medical facilities. Depending on the site's health and safety guidelines, you may be required to have medical screenings or vaccinations to meet site requirements, which may include Covid-19 vaccination and/or testing.
