Pioneering Surgeon, Host of The Ortho Show Joins Kaliber Surgeon Advisory Board

San Francisco, CA. September 6, 2022 – Kaliber Labs has announced that Dr. Scott Sigman, a pioneering leader and educator in orthopedic surgery, medical device development, and opioid sparing surgery, has joined the company’s Surgeon Advisory Board.

Fellowship-trained in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Sigman is a sports medicine, knee and shoulder specialist in clinical practice for over 25 years. He is an internationally recognized pioneer in opioid sparing surgery and a leader in professional education and medical device development. With a deep dedication to opening new horizons in orthopedics, he has numerous peer-reviewed publications and hosts The Ortho Show, an educational podcast that, according to the show’s tagline, reports “Unique Stories of the Best of the Best in Orthopedics.” He is also a member of Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker’s commission to establish a pain management access program. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Sigman is the Chief Medical Officer of OrthoLazer Orthopedic Laser Centers, a franchise developed to provide alternative pain management options and help combat the opioid crisis. Dr. Sigman is a fellow of the World Society on Sports & Exercise Medicine and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
